MEDITATION CALLIGRAPHY WORKSHOP with ERI FUKASE 

At Lanivet Community Centre PL30 5HG 

Eri Fukase was born in Japan and started learning ShoDo at the age of 7. It was whilst living in America that the inspiration for creating these workshops came to Eri, creating a calligraphy experience that brings calmness to mind and body for people that had never learnt ShoDo = Japanese calligraphy: the art of beautiful handwriting.

The "Four Treasures" of calligraphy are regarded as: the brush, ink, ink stone and paper.

"Brushstrokes Begin in the Air and End in the Air"

"Meditation as Calligraphy" begins with the brush and these workshops focus on oneness... becoming one with the brush and the flow of our energy (Ki) that is at the heart of this practice... Ki and ink flow through the brush capturing this one moment in time... on paper.
